With a festive moment on site, construction of Treble on Hettenheuvelweg has officially begun. The residential building, developed by B Right Urban Living, will soon offer 486 affordable rental homes for students and young people and will make an important contribution to the housing challenge in Amsterdam Zuidoost.
Treble is rising on the edge of the future Hondsrugpark and will be a place where living and meeting are central. The building combines independent homes with various shared facilities, focusing on community building, liveability, and connection with the surroundings.
“With Treble, we are taking the next step in our ambition to create affordable, quality housing for young people in the city,” says Olaf Terpstra, director of B Right Urban Living. “ We are not only developing homes, but also a living environment where meeting and involvement come naturally. ”

The start of construction was marked at the end of January during a gathering with involved partners, such as SBB Ontwikkelen en Bouw and the municipality of Amsterdam, as well as other invitees. This marked an important milestone in the development of the project. The completion of Treble, which will feature a 70-metre-high tower block, is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2028.
With Treble, B‑Right Urban Living is building on previous projects in Amsterdam ‑ Zuidoost, in which affordability, sustainability and social cohesion are central.
