New function for the tallest building on the Twente University campus.
Thanks to its internationalisation ambition, the University of Twente is attracting more and more foreign students, who generally pursue a one-year study programme in the Netherlands. As such, there was a need to provide turnkey, affordable housing for them. B-Right Urban Living converted the former De Hogekamp faculty building into an energy-efficient, fully furnished residential complex with 445 self-contained studios and 48 self-contained lofts, a.k.a micro-units.
These studios and apartments maximise space with extremely efficient floor plans. Each unit comes with a private kitchen and bathroom. Other facilities - such as a launderette, a cinema, lounge, study area, meeting point and a bar - are shared at Campus 053. In addition to providing housing for students and employees, the Hogekamp also accommodates the U-Park hotel, which offers 72 hotel rooms, a restaurant and a conference centre.
